We believe that together we can make a miracle in our tribal children’s lives through the Arpan (dedicated efforts of volunteers). Volunteers are an essential part of Vidhyaranya and we would not be where we are today without their unconditional support.
Vidhyaranya is looking for Volunteers in different field i.e., teaching, women empowerment, healthcare, rural economy & development, micro-entrepreneurship, marginalised farmer community empowerment, Green Construction and various technical positions such as operations, communications, PR, project management, IT, photographer and more.
Volunteer Program for Professionals provides opportunities for those professionals who are looking to take a gap year, sabbatical, career change break to participate in volunteer-travel work in a sustainable development and experience while contributing their knowledge and expertise at work-place. Volunteers of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds are invited to join career break programs Short-term volunteer-travelers can arrive on travel visa while long-term volunteers will need our sponsored employment visa to be placed within existing project teams. If the volunteers are coming to work on some of our associate projects as part of their travel in India, then we can make endeavours for them to be facilitated under our Eco Volunteer Travel programs.
We expect our interns to live in a culturally appropriate, restrained and disciplined life, that is sensitive to the local culture and community when in operations areas, at all times. In operations areas both during and out of working hours, parties, drinking and smoking is forbidden. We do not support a party/drinking/smoking culture as it has caused many problems in the past for interns and the organization. Specifically, this has caused problems for the safety of interns and our relationship with our beneficiaries, the local law enforcement and the community in general. Even within the house it is required that you refrain from drinking and respect the time dedicated to rest and relaxation. We have a code of conduct that we expect all interns to adhere to and will need to be signed by you before your arrival. We have a zero tolerance policy for serious breaches of the code of conduct.
